So, given that there is going to be a lack of outfit photos over the next 7 days I thought it'd be interesting to hand the decision of what gets posted over to YOU guys.
Leave a comment with a post you'd like to see on adaisychaindream and I will pick and choose several to do this week.
Any I don't use this week will be stored for future posting, as I often wonder if I vary things up enough here.
I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend

26.02 friday feeling
Hello! Welcome to the end of another week, and, eek, almost the end of another month! I hope it's been a good one and you have a fun filled weekend ahead.
The weather here can't make up its mind and we seem to have a rainy, cold day followed by a super sunny one (like today). That means yesterday was foul and cold and dark, and so my outfit was purely comfortable; all style went out of the window, I'm only blogging to shame myself!

Today I feel much brighter and couldn't resist wearing my second pair of £1 tights, I'm so bad, I went and picked up duplicates in each colour yesterday as I love them so much, as well as the ring pictured below; also £1!

By popular (seemingly really popular!) demand, here is the recipe I used for my muffins...
Lemon Poppyseed Muffins
I had intended to use a recipe shared by a friend but realised it required oil, which I didn't have!
I'm not sure how much I'll be posting outfits next week, if at all, as my Dad has the week off work and it is far more awkward to get photos, but I'll still be blogging and might find a way to get some pics in my room...it's been moved around so my old photo taking spot is gone!

24.02
Hello, how is your week going? Same old same old here, so just a quick post with the usual outfits and this week's baked goods.
Yesterday was cold and snowy so not much went out. Outfit was literally a case of grabbing whatever was clean and hoping for the best.

Today much the same, no real thought went in to this as you can tell. The tights are new, I picked up this pair and a teal pair for £1 each in Ethel Austin on my brief trip out yesterday.

I've stopped counting how many pairs of tights I own now, it's getting ridiculous. I'll be needing rehab soon.
This week I've baked lemon and poppyseed muffins at my Mum's request. I used silicon cases in a mix of sizes, and we now have about 40 muffins to be eaten!

I'm pretty sure they wont be hanging around long, they smell incredible. There really is nothing like the smell of fresh baked goods in the house.

22.02 grey monday
After a weekend of gorgeous weather that ingnited hopes for Spring soon arriving, I was dismayed to wake up this morning to black skies and heavy snow. The sharp fall in temperature meant abandoning any pre made outfit plans and hunting around for the closest to hand (and clean) warm layers once again.

Remind me to book a ticket to Australia for next Winter, I am so beyond finding this amusing now!
Happy Monday, I hope it is brighter where you are xxx

21.02 happy tag
The other day I was tagged by Amy Marie to write about 10 things that make me happy. I think I've done this tag before, but I have an endless list of things that make me happy so hopefully there will be some new things featured. I think I'm going to stray away from the deep and meaningful happy-makers and focus on the light hearted and material side of life this time...
1. Baking; always puts me in a good mood, especially when I make things that get fantastic feedback- from lovely blog readers, to the people who eat it. My favourite folks to bake for are my Mum's colleagues and I'm getting more and more requests for work day treats. I currently have a running list of things I want to make, so expect more photos and recipe posts.
2. Cereal; NOTHING makes a better snack than cereal sans milk. I am obsessed and currently have seven different boxes in my possession.

I used to LOVE these as a kid and still mourn their disappearance from the UK, yet stubbornly refuse to pay £7 for a box.
3. Magazines; from glossy fashion magazines to the cheap and cheerful woman's weeklies full of bizarre true life stories. I find magazines a real indulgence and nothing can match curling up with one, and a mug of tea on a cold raining afternoon. Or in the Summer, lazing in the garden with a stack of the latest releases.
4. Post; Getting a handwritten letter or un-expected package in the mail is a sure fire way to turn my mood around.

This was sent by a friend who knows me far too well.
5.
Self explanatory ;)
6. Reading a new book; I love and support my local library as much as possible, in fact I rarely indulge in buying a book brand new, but when I do the feeling of being the first to open and read it makes me smile inside. I am odd. It is official.
7. Bold makeup; Brightens the dullest of days.
8. Making jewellery; Something I don't do often enough right now, it gives an amazing sense of achievement, even more so when people like it enough to buy it.

This will forever be a favourite.
9. Good hair days; because they rarely happen in my world.
10. Watching someone do something un-intentionally stupid; don't pretend that seeing someone walk smack bang in to a glass door, or trip over their own feet doesn't make you giggle, too!
I'm supposed to now tag 10 people, but well, 10 just isn't enough. I want everyone (who can be bothered) to do this and spread the cheer.

17.02 stars
Hello, mid-week again. I still feel like it's Monday. I hope things are going well so far and no-one is feeling sad.
This post contains my outfits from yesterday and today as well as the baking I mentioned in my last post.
The dress I'm wearing here has fast become my favourite for its softness and warmth and pretty lace detailing. I only blogged it a couple of weeks ago, when it was brand new but love it enough to post it again ;)

Today my outfit was more about comfort and practicality for being in the kitchen all morning, so jeans were slung on with a pretty top to make it more feminine.

And what did I bake?
Well last week my Mum came home from work with a request from one of her colleagues who has her birthday tomorrow.
She wanted 2 plain cakes, decorated as I wished, as she had become a big fan of the stuff I send in for the staff (recent favourite is flapjack)
So, plain cakes it was

A decoration wise?
I have some Cath Kidston writing paper and one sheet is pink with white stars, I love it and thought it'd be a nice concept for a cake...so...

What the photos dont capture, is that I used edible glitter mixed with liquid glucose to make the stars sparkle. It is such a pretty effect but was really simple to achieve.
I'm off now to rest my aching arms. Tis the only downside to baking everything from scratch!

So,
thank you for both the Valentine wishes and positive thoughts for today. Appointment is over and done with, much thinking to be done but I'm glad this part is over.
Welcome to a new week! I cannot (and almost refuse to) believe it is mid-feb already.
Outfit wise today, I opted for something comfortable. Ignore the puffed out hair, I fixed that after.
Also dis-regard the miserable face, with only a couple of hours sleep it is little wonder!

I remembered to put jewellery on for once, including rings. I really need more chunky rings in my life.

The heart one is from Primark, and the silver one is from a local independant shop.
I also wanted to share my pretty new bed spread, just because I can

What are your plans for this week? A fairly quiet one here; the only solid plan I have is a baking day on Wednesday.

14.02 from us

Flash (and myself, of course) would like to wish you a very Happy Valentine's Day. Whatever you do, indulge yourself.
I'm little miss always single, and really...seeing other people loved up and happy doesn't fill me with envy, or resentment...just happiness for them, and knowledge that one day I will meet the right person;
and until then, I'm best off single!
My day will consist of the Sunday usual; coffee and gossip with Trudi, browsing the Internet and doing some studying.
I've made little treat bags for my family and some special friends just to say "I love you" and that is as far as the soppy stuff goes here.
What are your plans?
And, on a selfish note, could people please send me some "good luck" vibes for tomorrow. I have a big appointment that I'm really nervous about.

Wow, well thank you for the lovely comments on my hair. Seriously!
Just a quick post today as I am freezing cold having just got in from an appointment, and I really ought to be doing some course work this morning so I can catch up with everyone's blogs later ;)
Yesterday I wore

and today I am wearing this, plus a couple of cardigans. Trying to get a picture early in the morning doesn't really work in terms of lighting hence there only being one, and it being a bit dodgy!

I'm deeply saddened by the news of Alexander McQueen's death; although I don't have much to say on the matter, especially when other bloggers have said what I'd like to in a far better way than anything I could come up with.
I just hope he is at peace now.

10.02 outfit and haircut
Hello, mid-week again...somehow. How are we all? Surviving I hope?
Sunny day today, cold, but I'm going nowhere so less layers required in my outfit. I'm so sick of wearing five or six layers, spring really cant come fast enough.

without cardigan

with cardigan.
And yesterday I had my first hair cut in over 18months. I hate having my hair messed with and as a consequence it was far too long and out of control!
eight or nine inches later and I have something I can deal with

It feels so good, and so light! My hairdresser straightened it for me, but I am queen of low fuss hair, and look forward to experimenting with messier ways of wearing it down!
Right,
off to do something productive, like working on my course!

08.02 more colour and an award
Good morning, Happy Monday; hope you survived the weekend! What are your plans for this week? Anything exciting on the horizon?
We're expecting another "big freeze" later this week, so I'm making the most of the currently tolerable temperatures and embracing colour again.
Not that our big freezes are anything like those in the USA (and other countries) and this time I doubt it'll be more than a slight flurry of snow!

This top is a Primark find, and the last thing left unworn from my shopping trip a couple of weeks ago. I'm clearly taken with the nude colour trend for spring, and added pastel tights that I had forgotten I owned.
Starting afresh with my tag and award resolution, Florrie has awarded me with this

So I have to tell you all ten things about me and then pass the award on to ten other bloggers.
1) I used to be quite a party animal and always the first to pass out drunk. Now I prefer quiet nights in and never touch alcohol. Does that make me boring? Perhaps so, but I am much more content.
2) I have a thing against vowels and even numbers, they make me feel uncomfortable for some reason.
3) I am a total bookworm and a fast reader.
4) Although I'm very girly now, a few years ago I was more in to Judo, Kayaking and all kinds of outdoors adventure things. I'd still do it now if I had the chance.
6) I'm shy, especially around new people, but once I warm to you, you'll have trouble shutting me up.
7) I am addicted to butternut squash.
8) I find Topshop hideously expensive and way out of my budget, so I pretend I don't like the shop so I don't get too sad about never being able to afford anything!
9) I have an awful short term memory but can remember the most insignificant little details about past events.
10) I get utterly random and insatiable food cravings from time to time. Past oddities have included bananas with dairylea "cheese", and pineapple chunks dipped in ketchup. A great source of amusement to my friends.
Now, I'm meant to tag 10 bloggers but truly, I cannot narrow it down. So, if you want to do this, then consider yourself loved and awarded! I look forward to reading your answers.
Haircut tomorrow. I have NO idea what I'm going to end up with!

05.02 colour
Woke up this morning to the sun shining for what feels like the first time in ages, so I decided it was about time I injected a little more colour in to my outfit and dug out the brightest tights I could find.

I also decided to make the most of the ground being dry and ditched the boots in favour of something a bit more girly and delicate.
Roll on spring!
I also have three necklaces up for sale, at the price of £4 for UK people, and £5 for overseas.
Leave a comment with your e-mail address, or e-mail me directly if you would like one, and watch this space for some new stuff soon!
(I accept paypal, or trades)

Silver plated Ark pendant (opens up) on 17 inch silver plated chain.
*taken*

Toadstool and enamel rose on 16 inch silver plated chain.
*taken*

Sail boat and baby glass whale on 17 inch chain.
The price includes shipping.
Enjoy the last day of the week! What are your weekend plans? xxx
