ditsy denim

Denim Shirt c/o Ax Paris
Skirt: Matalan
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell at Sarenza

How cute is this floral denim shirt? I own shockingly little denim compared to most people I know but this pretty little thing from Ax Paris called to me from the pages of it's website.
I teamed it with a now quite old skirt from Matalan that has long earned it's cost per wear considering I spent all of a fiver on it. I wore this Saturday day time before the weather turned really icy again, a change from the one day a week I usually pull on a pair of jeans.

Speaking of jeans, I really need a new pair and I'm a bit lost as to where to look. I'm fed up of spending money on some that are *almost* but not quite right. My favourite current pair come from Oasis and were a competition win, they are pretty much my ideal but I'd like to know where else to look. For someone who used to wear nothing but jeans and a printed tee I now know very little about what's out there. I had a phobia of them for a few years but I'm over that now and ready to invest (within reason!)

I should really be getting ready for work right now considering I leave the house at 7am on a Wednesday but I am seriously lacking in energy this week and the thought of finding enough layers to face the bitter cold is not appealing in the slightest. On the bright side, it can't last much longer right? I mean, this IS March after all...

I love your outfit! The colour of your floral skirt from Matalan contrasts with and complements the colour of your floral denim shirt from Ax Paris beautifully!

You had blogged about Matalan previously so I was aware that they carried lovely fashions, but I wasn't been familiar with Ax Paris. When I clicked on the Ax Paris link I saw a Lace Kick Out Skater Dress that made me swoon! (I love the ultra-feminine fashions).

I admire your taste in colours, love the floral prints and your OOTD! Your floral denim shirt was a great find.

Best wishes for your day at work. It's well past my bedtime here, so good morning and good night. :)

i like river island jeans, they seem to work with a longer leg and still a slimmer fit. i have real trouble with jeans - always have... if theyre long enough, theyre too big and vice versa. i feel your pain!!!

Hey lovely, I swear by Diesel jeans - they are expensive but they are the only brand that I am actually comfortable in (well, most of the time). xxxx

I always get such severe shoe envy when I read your posts, gorgeous boots! Jean shopping is indeed a nightmare so far I've found Dr Denim Jeggings are amazing and Levi's Curve ID fit brilliantly other than that I think its really trial and error. Good luck with your search I'm looking forward to seeing what you find xx

It's very cute! I like it lots (and I always love those Jeffery Campbell ones of yours!)
Er- I am hopeless with jeans, I am the same as you! My favourite pairs have been: a) Per Una ones found in a charity shop, not tried on, perfect! b) sale purchase from Miss Selfridge 13 years ago (I wear jeans so little that they are still going strong!) which I bought in desperation when I got soaked in the rain on the way to a concert! Anytime I go purposely to buy jeans, nothing fits, suits etc!

Are your current Oasis jeans Cherries? How about trying the Jades instead? They're tighter, softer, and thinner material. There are loooads of different colours coming in too, like a soft baby pink and duck-egg blue.

I really believe that for the price point Oasis are the best jeans you can get!

I adore this denim shirt, it is lovely!

I hate shopping for jeans, they never seem to fit me perfectly. So annoying. x
