chop chop

After months of putting it off, I finally went and booked a haircut...a much needed one and the timing couldn't have been more perfect after a truly horrible morning at work.

I didn't have any particular style in mind, just something easy to maintain and that's what I got! My head feels a heck of a lot lighter minus about 10 inches of hair and half of it's bulk (the curse of not just thick, but plentiful hair!)
Now the challenge is the upkeep, this is where I usually fail! Feel free to share miracle products and styling tips with me! I'm going back to vibrant red at the weekend.

And don't forget, there are still a few hours left to win £20 with Matalan, the giveaway closes at 7pm. Chop chop!

Ps if you haven't got one already, invest in a hot air styler with a big barrel, one that blow dries your hair. Then when hair is wet spray a strong styling product on it (one that holds body in well but leaves hair shiny and soft, john frieda products are great) then blast dry your hair with a hair dryer until about 60% dry. Finally finish off blow drying with the big barrel hot air styler flicking under or out depending on what style you want, fix with Ellenette hairpray to hold down stray hairs (a good tip is to spray the hair spray directly onto a paddle brush and quick brush hair while the brush still wet with it) et voila you have an at home blow dry xx Ps you can section hair off before using the big barrel hot air styler if you have very thick hair

Loving the hair cut Laura its suits you perfectly. I'm afraid I don't have any miracle products to share as I tend to wash, straighten and go.

Rounded brushes are great for getting volume and shape in shorter styles. :)

Love the cut! Suits you beautifully! I have thick hair too & had a similar cut once upon a time. Just used a good serum to smooth it that worked wonders! Have fun with your colour too! xx
