work that heat

Case in point of how humid it has been here; my hair was dead straight Sunday night. Yesterday I woke up to...

Yeah. I was un-amused.

And it left me with a dilemma. The site I work at on a Monday isn't know for it's warmth, but we have a lot of glass, which basically meant greenhouse!
After much frustration I went for my coolest weight skirt and a sheer blouse. It kind of worked. With the aid of a fan in the office.

The big reveal of my latest Sarenza ambassador purchase! As many of you guessed, I opted for some Jeffery Campbells. At the time the weather was vile and I found myself planning ahead for winter (with a resigned view to wearing them most of the summer, too). As soon as they arrived, the weather got gorgeous, so no modelling of them yet!

The (perhaps aptly named) sweat boots, which have since gone in the sale at just £56...perfect excuse to invest, if I do say so myself!

I also picked this gorgeous Friis&Company bag, which is also now in the sale! This is PERFECT for carrying my life around in!

Who else has been suffering in the humidity?

Anyone else planning ahead for winter?

Those shoes are so cool, I love them! And your bag is lovely too. Yesterday was sweltering, the fan was on all day and the French doors were wide open but today seems cooler as it was raining very heavily this morning. xxx

ok how long has it been since my last visit to your blog, or did I just not notice you dyed your hair?

It looks killer, please tell me it's recent :P

My hair is a frizzy fluff ball. Luckily today the humidty seems to have buggered off for a little bit.

Those shoes are awesome!

I feel your pain. I had to travel by bus and train for loads of time yesterday - too much heat!

So hot here too, but it's also raining. Hope it cools down a bit. Haha, first summer can't come soon enough and now it's here we all want it to be cooler;)

Love the skirt, and well, the entire outfit. Shoes look great too, though just looking at them not makes me feel even warmer.

When it's this hot it is TOO HARD to decide what to wear to work! I wanted to make it the official wear your bikini to work day at Sarenza, but it didn't go down to well...love the summer outfit you chose though, you made a better job of looking dignified in the heat than I did!

oh. The heat. The ice cream parlour has 4 huge freezers and 3 fridges. All giving of heat. (yeh i know) AND all the frontage of the shop is glass. So first thing? It's a race to get those doors open. Before i collapse

Ugh I know I shouldn't complain about the weather, but when your work involves a lot of running around, hot toastie machines, hot soup pots and hot coffee machines you just BOIL!! It's so hard to dress nicely. I tend to opt for a pretty, floral, laura ashley blouse to attempt to stay cool.

Cute boots by the way!

Yes, definitely suffering from the humidity- partially down to 'fragrant' children and just the collective warmth of so many people in a small room!!
Shoes= great! I do sometimes plan ahead for winter in the summer- you can beat the system!
Oh and that blouse and skirt combo is exceedingly delightful!

I must confess, I don't see what is supposed to be wrong with your hair in the very first photo. I kept looking, expecting to see some sort of horrible-looking disaster, but I can't find any. You look beautiful to me. Where is the humidity-caused problem? (I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I'm being serious.)
