This will be short, I have less than 24 hours to pack and prepare for being admitted to the unit.
I got the call five minutes ago.
It's been a hell of a week, I spent monday at the hospital being treated for a kidney infection and dehydration and now this.
I.Am.In.Shock.
I am terrified, but relieved and grateful.
Thank you all soooo much for your support, I have NO idea when I'll be back, I won't have internet on the unit,
but as soon as I am well, I will be back, blogging with a vengance.
(If you'd like to write to me, drop me an e-mail today and I'll pass on my address)

weekend
I'll start this post with yesterday's outfit, and a warning. If you don't want to read a "deep" post about my life right now then please just close my blog and pretend it doesn't exist, because you will be bored or may be inspired to leave anonymous hate...and well, we don't want that ;)
We've had glorious weather here yesterday and today, like, the first proper hot days of the year. There was no doubt in my mind that it was a maxi dress day...the swishy breeze created when walking in one is the most amazing feeling and it was perfectly suited to lazing around in the garden.

And now on to the heavier side to this post;
This week I have finally admitted [mainly to myself] that I am not coping very well and things have been more of a struggle than ever.
I wish I could put in to words how exhausting it is to be in this state of limbo. Desperate for change but to weary and controlled to fight on my own anymore, and no clear idea of when a hospital bed will open up.
I sleep. A lot of the day. And when I am awake I am spending time with family and friends when I can, or just...restless, and not really able to concentrate, hence the lesser frequency of blog comments and posts.
It's going to be this way for a while, and I do feel bad because I miss blogging every day, and I miss commenting on everyone's posts.
I guess what I wanted to say was, to those of you who have stuck by me, left kind words in the form of comments and e-mails, THANK YOU, and I'm sorry I've not been able to respond to your kindness as much as you deserve.
I'd fully expect, and understand if you abandoned ship and stopped reading and following my blog completley, and I have been overwhelmed by the love and compassion shown.
I will still endevour to post and comment as often as I can, but if I can't, then please know you are ALL tresured (with a few anonymous exceptions) and all in my thoughts.
I can't wait to be on the other side of this hell and back to being ME. I have so many hopes and dreams for life
and directions I want to take this blog in, among other things. I'm not giving up, I'm just stepping back for a while.
Sorry, this blog has gone from outfit posts and random things to a blog about my illness which I never intended, but then, life doesn't always work the way it should. It'll be a thing of the past soon enough.
Have a wonderful weekend, make the most of the weather...and don't forget the suncream!

P.S. I so caved in and ordered the Essie polish from my last post!

Three Wishes Thursday
If I had the funds, here is what I'd be buying this week...

Essie Nail Polish in Lapis of Luxury (from the resort collection). Words cannot not describe how much I want/need this colour in my life!

French Connection denim dress with rope tie detail. This just screams lazy summer days, bare legs and golden skin to me.

Bebaroque Sailor print tights. If only I had the kind of money that allowed me to indulge in these. I am so utterly smitten.
[all product photos from www.asos.com]
I'm still feeling...un-inspired, I think I might make this a regular feature.
What are you lusting after this week?

Hello, I hope your week is getting off to a good start! Just a quick outfit post today, I'm feeling a bit un-inspired in terms of blogging right now and don't have much to say or show for myself.

The skirt I got when I went shopping the other weekend, from Primark. The bunny vest is from New Look and was a present from my parents this weekend :)
Cardigan, well, I've had that about four years now, I think it's from H&M though. On my feet I'll be wearing nude and black lace flats.
Off to sit in the garden now, making the most of the gorgeous weather we have at the moment.
I will attempt to catch up with blogs during this week, I'm somewhat lacking the ability to form coherent comments though...but I am at the very least, reading your posts.

photo overload
Happy Friday once again! Wow this week has gone by fast. As ever indulge me by telling me your weekend plans? I bet you can guess by now that mine involve a whole lot of nothing!
Couple of outfits for you today, first up being yesterday's when I wore the fourth and final pair of Black Milk leggings I was sent. Some phenomenal new designs have just been released including these Galaxy leggings which have shot right to the top of my wish list.

Today is far less interesting. I've chucked a floral dress on for now as I've gotta pop out for an appointment, and coffee with the bestie,
but then I'm coming home and changing back in to this attire (H&M harems, T-post tee) for some serious chilling out.

What is your favourite attire for slobbing around the house in? I have such a weak spot for comfort clothes!
xxx
P.S. found out yesterday that I'll be waiting around 2 months for my bed on the unit; perhaps sooner if someone leaves, so there is lots more blogging to come yet.

Hearts & Bows at Ark Clothing
The other day I was lucky enough to receive a parcel from Ark Clothing. Up until this point I was un-aware that the website existed, if I am totally honest. I'm not very brave when shopping online and prefer to stick to sites of places I shop on the highstreet such as New Look, or if I'm really daring, Asos.
Ark is, however, a real treasure trove for fabulous brands such as Motel, Brat and Suzie, and another new discovery for me, Hearts & Bows. As you can see, this brand is my style exactly with pastel and floral dresses galore.
One thing I definitely want to mention is how beautifully wrapped the parcel was. Inside the plastic envelope was layers of pink tissue paper protecting the dress and skirt inside.
I don't know about you, but shops that make an extra effort with packaging their goods score automatic brownie points.
I was sent the "Graphite Paris Skirt" which is now hands down the most comfortable skirt I own. I love how it sits on the waist and the shape is brilliant. I know I haven't styled it to it's full potential here, but watch this space for something more exciting!

At £16.99 I also think it's a reasonable price for something a bit different, and the sizing was perfect.
I also received the "Pink Polka Dot Floral Dress" which is £22.99. It's a little bit too short for me to wear just as a dress for daytime, so I added denim shorts. One problem I often have with dresses is that the front is often too low cut, or gapes; that wasn't an issue here and I only added the long sleeve top for warmth!

Prettiest print. Ever.
Ark scores yet more brownie points with me for having affordable postage;
£2.50 within the UK for orders under £30 and FREE for orders of £30 or more.
International shipping is also available.
If you have any enquiries Ark endeavour to get back to you within 1 hour during office hours.
Ark pride themselves on speedy service; just 1-3 days after your order has been processed which means you won't be hanging around long to wear your new clothes.
Definitely a site to visit, and one I will be returning to for when I feel like treating myself.
Many thanks to Ark for the beautiful treats.
And extended thanks to all you wonderful readers and commenters for your continued support. I won't lie, things are hard this week, and you are ALL helping far more than you could know.
I'll hopefully get round to your blogs over the next day or so xxx

monday blues
Happy new week! Did you have a good weekend? I promised an outfit post today so that's what you get,
I'm wearing this blue dress from the H&M garden collection. I adore it, despite when first seeing the collection over looking it completley in favour of the nudes and florals. This is the only piece I bought and I'm pleased with my decision; at £12.99 it was a steal, too.

That's pretty much all I have to say for myself today, short and sweet for once! Have a fabulous start to your week and I'll be back with more new clothes outfit posts and a review soon!
Oh, and of course, thank you to those of you who have e-mailed about writing to me in hospital, I'll make sure I have plenty of pretty stationary so I can reply to you!
And a HUGE thank you to Anna at MuchLove for the new header, go check out her gorgeous blog and see how talented she is!

coupon crazy
We all love getting a good deal, right? I'm really excited to be able to share this with you guys today...perhaps a little way of giving something back (whilst making you spend money on yourselves in the first place!).
http://www.couponchief.com is a website I was introduced to today, and is filled with thousands upon thousands of coupon codes to save you money as you shop.
The layout of the site means it's easy to navigate and you can search by store or category for speedy browsing.
You can stay up to date by following them on twitter and facebook, ensuring you never miss a deal and there are simple to follow instructions to help you out if you've not used online discount codes before.
There is also a tool I *really* like called "coupons-4-causes* that makes a donation to a charity of your choice when using certain codes through certain retailers.
Another bonus is no-one is left out (from what I've seen so far) with codes for the USA and UK available (I'm yet to search for other countries, sorry girls, I'll get on to that!)
To get you started here are some of my top picks.
ASOS coupons
Topshop coupons
Sephora coupons
Benefit cosmetics coupons
I could pretty much go on forever listing places to shop, but it's far more fun to go see for yourself! Definatley a site for your bookmarks (you know how much I love discount sites from previous posts!)...this has to be one of the best layed out sites I've seen so far, clean and super simple to navigate which is essential for productive splurging!
You can also submit codes yourself and earn some paypal funds to fuel your shopping!
Enjoy,
back with an outfit post and some more codes tomorrow

imagination required
It's the weekend! We made it! What are your plans? Once I've made this post, I'm off to pay a visit to my grandparents...I love spending time with them and I'm lucky that they have always lived nearby.
I want to say a HUGE thank you to you all for your kind, thoughtful comments and e-mails regarding my visit to the unit.
It went...well? Not sure that's the right word! Everything feels very real now, and reading all your messages helped a lot.
It's hard to know when blogging just how much of your personal life to share, and it was certainly never my intention to drag my illness in to it when I first started this site. However, you can't ever predict something like this, and there is, right now, no hiding from the fact it has taken over damn near every aspect of my days...when it got to the point of people expressing concern, I made the decision to "come clean"
and it's times like yesterday...and now, when I need all the support I can get and you wonderful people come through with it by the bucket load that I'm confident I made the right choice.
People have asked about writing to me whilst I'm in there. I would love it if you wanted to, honestly, as although I'll have my laptop for DVDs and music, there is very bad internet connection, if any...and a break from the online world is probably very much needed
(though it'll pain me to put this blog on hiatus for what could be months).
So, if you'd like to write, then drop me an e-mail and I'll give you directions!
Enough with the deep stuff now
(sorry if I have bored you to death, I'll try and keep it to a minimum after this post)
Here's what I wore yesterday. A very spring-like outfit despite a serious amount of imagination being required to believe it is indeed spring outside.

(this necklace was a birthday gift from a very special girl)
Have a wonderful weekend my loves,
next week will most likely bring an onslaught of last Saturday's purchases and a couple of reviews!

new favourite maxi and new things
Hello, Happy Thursday, I hope it has been a great week for you so far! Early-ish update from me today as I've just got back from voting and have endless hours ahead of me to fill now.
This isn't an outfit post, as such, as I'm not wearing this dress today and I didn't wear it yesterday, either. I just wanted to show it off basically because it is my new favourite maxi dress! Sent to me by the gorgeous Char as part of an epic Birthday parcel.
Stripes + the perfect amount of over-sized slouch...what isn't to love?! Of course it'll be better when I can fill it out properly, and when we have more maxi appropriate weather!

I also wanted to share a couple of treats I bought myself (I swear retail therapy should come on the NHS!)

Yet another floral dress, from New Look, £10 in the sale.

OPI Shrek Forever Nail Polish in Rumples Wiggin, I don't think this is available in the UK yet, I ordered mine from a USA ebay seller.
Image from here
I still have several new pieces of clothing to share with you from Saturday's shopping trip but they will be shown when I actually wear them!
Well, I'm off to find something to do with my day. I'm a ball of nervous energy right now as I have a tour of the hospital unit I'll be admitted to when a bed comes up, tomorrow, and I am scared.
Good luck vibes appreciated...and hopes that I don't have to wait too much longer.
Much love

Did everyone have a good weekend? We had a long one here with the Bank Holiday yesterday and true to form the weather was dire so nothing much happened! Thank you for the sweet comments on the cake, and for Dad's birthday wishes; both were very much appreciated by him!
Today I felt a little more motivated towards getting dressed and put on one of Saturday's purchases. This is the only floral thing I bought, and it was a Primark bargain costing £5.
The shoes were also bought at the same time, costing £8. They make my feet so happy.

Posting and commenting may be a bit sporadic again this week, as Dad is off again (he has so much holiday to use up!) and I have various appointments to be at so not much outfit photo oppurtunity or as much computer time as normal. By next week things should properly settle down again, but I will try and post and visit blogs as much as possible!
Have a fun week, whatever you do! And thanks for sticking with me, I can't believe I'm at almost 400 followers!

a well earned rest
Hello and welcome to a wet and windy Sunday! What happened to Spring? I am so glad that I've no intention of leaving the house today, it actually makes the weather more bearable...a sense of smugness that I can remain warm and dry in slobby clothes!
My busy week has finally ended! It was rounded off perfectly yesterday with an afternoon in Bristol spending Birthday money...I got a pretty good haul of clothes *and* have money left, which is you know..always good when your broke and in need of retail pick me ups from time to time!
Today is my Dad's Birthday (Happy Birthday Dad, I love you!) and of course Birthdays call for cake,
so I made him one as part of his present from me. He's a real chocoholic so I did a chocolate tray cake with chocolate buttercream and chocolate decorations. It's a hit.

And here's my outfit from Friday. I'm not feeling very inspired clothes wise at the moment so outfit posts will probably take a back seat for a little while, depending on my day to day mood!

Well, off to start my day of rest. I have a few little fun jobs to get done which includes catching up with everyone's blogs (perhaps not such a little job!)
I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, have you done anything exciting? Any fabulous shopping bargains?
