Layer upon Layer

Yet more freezing weather and snow. I know...everyone is talking about it, but what's what we Brits do!

Outfits are getting more and more dull by the day. Just trying to find something that layers, without looking like the Micehlin man is trial enough.

The top outfit is what I decided on today, although I'll probably chuck jeans over the tights if I venture out.

The bottom two are yesterday and the faux fur vest was hastily swapped for a couple of cardigans.

Is anyone actually enjoying this weather? The only upside I can see is it provides the perfect excuse to huddle under a duvet with a hot drink and purring cat.
(And it does make it seem a bit more like Christmas is on its way!)

P.S. Spoiled Brat giveaway ends tomorrow!

Brrr - I like the long sleeves under the dress! And the fur thing is lovely but yes, I can imagine not ACTUALLY that WARM! I would be enjoying the weather is we got more afternoons off work like yesterday but sadly it's not that bad today so here I am (skiving away like a good'un!) :D x

It is fun snuggling under the covers though. I wish it snowed inmy town in winter :(
I love the vest, super cute.

Love the gilet, it would look gorgeous over your pretty knit dress, too. xxx

we love how you have layered your gilet !

Lovely outfits. I'm finding it difficult to know what to layer up! Last night I literally had on a t-shirt, jumper, cardigan, hoody and a scarf because it was so cold INSIDE our house :( layering up for outside and still looking nice is so difficult, you do it well! I hate this weather lol

I'm so cold at this point, I don't really care what I look like anymore. I'm with you on the layering. Cardigans are my friends, as are my scarves, earmuffs and gloves...

Don't even go there with the snow. We don't have any heating on the top floor of our house (where the bedrooms are) and it's minimal in the rest of the house. My hands are like purple ice cubes!

I really like the colours in the first outfit, purple/pinks are so lovely when it's cold out.

Love the second outfit! Just perfectly cozy for cold weather... so there... at least you look great while you freeze your toes off :)

Fantastic gilet! Was wondering if you weren't going to have freezin arms though. Is bitter up here. I've had layers upon layers on, that don't always go together but get me from home to work without frostbite! x

I wish we had just a bit of cold weather in FL. Tomorrow, the high dips to 60 something. Cute outfits!

I've been so jealous of everyone's snow tweets, so I can't wait to get back to England this week.

Your second outfit is great, but I can see why you exchanged the vest for other layers! The vest does look really warm.

Nonetheless you look great in your layers. Purple is totally your color.

OH I'm all Michelin Man at the moment...three pairs of tights, 5 tops and a winter jacket, two snoods, a hat, hood pulled up under helmet and winter cycling gloves!
I peeled like an onion at work.

But most important thing...the layers let you be warm so you can enjoy the snow! I cycled along and tried to catch snowflakes in my mouth. It was fun and I had a blast (sad huh?).

All I can say is...embrace the layers then enjoy stripping off for the summer.

xx:)

It is so cold!! Layering is definitely necessary, I like the way you've styled it. The only plus side is everyone is so padded if you're in a crowd it's very soft and bouncy!

I like this type of weather, but just for staying inside the house, drinking hot chocolate and sitting by the fire. It´s really pretty and everything, but it is just so hard to be outside. I know exactly how your feeling.

It would be nice if I didn't have to go outside! Am so sick of having freezing cold feet, even with tights and two pairs of socks on :(

You look fab in jeans missy.

The outfits are really cute but the problem with this weather is it's actually too cold for any of them! I have to wear three sweaters, a coat, a scarf and a hat even to leave the house!

Beautiful outfits as always <3

The dress looks great with the sleeves peeking out, and I love the jeans with the checked top (or is it a dress?). You may be cold but you still look great as always.
I'm loving the snow but hating the cold - I've got 2-tshirts under my dress and 2 cardigans on top!

I'm hating this weather, it's so disruptive! And in the mornings I have to get up early just to defrost the car. I only like snow if I'm not going out to work and can stay at home all snuggly and warm ha. I want your fur vest please.

wow the second one down is amazing !!! I love the checked shirt/dress with the gillet, it's so simple but makes an impact I love it. Yes layers are something us Brit's forget ... other countries have mastered the layer :)
