outfits and music

How is your week going so far? Half way to the weekend! The weather has turned pretty cold since Sunday and I've desperately been rooting around for something warm to wear.
So far I've rocked a jumper dress with tartan tights, and today my old faithful Zara Harem pants with a cropped faux leather jacket.
Dressing for cold weather is so much harder than when it's warm don't you think?

For the second part of this post I want to introduce you to the band Richard Parker

"Richard Parker is a four piece instrumental band from Leeds, united kingdom. we're currently playing as many shows as we can and constantly working on new material so keep checking back for dates and new music. love."

Based in Leeds these guys are pretty damn awesome. They are currently gigging a lot and need your support, so if your a Leeds local why not pop along and give them a listen?

Their facebook page gives information of all up-coming gigs as well as further developments from the band, it also links to their tumblr page and myspace account where you can listen to their music yourself.

I'm a fan, I'd love to hear what you guys think though (and I know the chaps would appreciate it too)
I'd love to hear what you think.

((and don't forget you have till Saturday to enter my giveaway))

I think it's really difficult to dress at any time of the year in this country - you never know what it's going to do!!

I LOVE Flash - look at his/her lovely stripes!!!

I love both outfits! But of course I love your tights. Summer is def more easier to dress for.

that kitty kissis photo is plain adorable! LOVE.
Definitely agree that dressing for cold weather is harder than when it's warm. I've never been very good at layering.

I love those tartan tights. I wish my cat would be willing to be photographed x

I love your second outfit! And look at it this way, at least you have different weathers to dress for:) Summer all year long isn't fun, winter layering sounds good to me!

wow, both those outfits are stunning!

i actually prefer dressing for cooler weather, because big knit sweaters (jumpers) and smart coats and jackets are my thing! i very much dislike summer clothing... i'm way too self-conscious. i've been known to wear full-length trousers and jeans in the hottest temps, so it's a relief when it cools off enough to be comfortable :)

(stupid body dislike... when will i ever learn that it doesn't matter? sigh...)

anyway i'm obsessed with glinty brooches and my fall and winter coats always get the royal treatment! and i love matching them up with smart scarves, tuques and mittens!

am i weird? totally! and embracing it :)

I like both outfits especially the first one with those tartan tights. I definitely agree that its much harder dressing for cold weather and I am so happy it is summer soon here because I have been terrible a creating outfits this winter. Its so much easier just to put on a pretty summer dress.

I have the opposite problem to you, I love wrapping up for winter, and suffer so much when we get the 2 weeks of heat in the UK!

The Blonde Duck said...

I'm such a creature of habit. In the summer, it's sundress and shoes. In the winter, it's boots and dresses or jeans and boots.

The Woollen Typist said...

I like those tights..and I think all dresses should have pockets!

I actually kind of like dressing for the winter...I can wear more.

You always look so great. I think it's easiest to dress for fall. It's not so hot that you don't want to wear anything, but it's not so cold that you just want to wear snowpants.
