23.03 Lace

Just a quick outfit post today whilst I have the chance. There isn't any real reason why having my Dad home affects my posting other than it is a lot more difficult to get photos when someone who doesn't really "get" it is around in the house! Anyway, he is out at a meeting today so I took the oppurtunity.

This dress is a couple of years old now and I think I've worn it all of twice. I didn't buy it with the intention of it being day wear, but it deserves to be worn so I'm rocking it regardless.

The indoor photos aren't the greatest, tempermental camera this morning. I got Mum to snap the garden one as it shows the colour contrast on the dress a bit better.

I'm off for a morning out with Mum shortly, followed by a course work filled afternoon...I'm almost half way through now and this week is my final push to get the first module submitted (gotta love self imposed deadlines eh?)

I also intend to do some baking this week; cheese scones and a cake of some kind though I am yet to decide what flavour.

What have you been up to?

I think the dress works really well as daywear. Love the garden shot you should do it more often! xx

That dress is really pretty - definitely deserves to be worn a bit more often!

I get what you mean about it being harder to take photos when your Dad's around - no one in my house knows about my blog (or probably even what one is!), so they'd be rather confused catching me taking photos of my bag, for example!

I totally understand how tough it is to get it going with someone who doesn't quite understand what on earth you are doing and for what.

By the way, that's a lovely dress. Can't believe its a couple years old.

Ha! (to your comment) I'd so wreck that. Maybe it's me but I found that hilarious.

You know it's funny: I have trouble posting when my husband is around. Even commenting... like now, he's asking questions. It's just hard to get into the Zone.

Love that look: love lace and dresses with black riding type boots! I have these black plain riding boots that I wear all the time, love them with dresses.

So glad it's finally getting milder.. for fashion and all other reasons. I love spring!! xox

Lovely, as usual.

Thanks so much for your compliment...you're so very sweet!

The dress is lovely and even though the outfit is all black, it looks so light and airy! I love the boots...where'd you get them?

Cheese scones?!!? That sounds amazing. I've never had one. I also need to try these hobknob creations....

Ms. Seberg

The lace dress is pretty and I like the boots too. Your baking plans sound scrumptious. Don't you just love spring? It's my favorite season, but it's raining at the moment and I've probably been blogging too much and neglecting my chores. Enjoyed seeing your pics.

Is it bad that after looking at your garden photo my eyes then auto-gravitated to the stone Buddha in the background? :)

i know what you mean .. none of my parents could really get what i do with my blog . so they dont really pay attention to my pics and then they mess them up and then its pointless.

I love the dress!
reading about your self-imposed deadline reminds me that I have a few projects I need to finish myself. I procrastinate too much!

OneCraftyFox said...

Love the dress and love the boots. No worries if dad doesn't 'get it'. If he ever questions it, you could always quip up a clever response about at least keeping your clothes on for internet uploads. ha ha ha. Seriously, in my quest for fun fashion photos I actually had to change my computer settings to safe mode because even the most innocent of words would pull up a whole slew of naked horror during my searches :)

I love any type of lace and this includes your lovely dress! I understand about it being weird taking pictures around people who don't get it. I normally take pictures when no one else is home or my mom will occasionally take them for me when we're out.
